Lucy è una seduta ampia, morbida ed avvolgente che al tempo stesso mantiene un aspetto asciutto e leggero. Abbiamo voluto creare dei volumi importanti, geometrici ed arrotondati. Volevamo disegnare una seduta completamente imbottita, fino a terra, in cui una parte predominante fosse il tessuto ed il colore. Abbiamo giocato sui vuoti ed i pieni per ottenere una forma comoda ma non pesante. Ci piaceva sopratutto l’idea di avere un elemento unico formato dalle gambe posteriori, schienale e braccioli, un’unica fascia avvolgente come un abbraccio.
Lucy is a wide, soft and enveloping seat that at the same time maintains a dry and light appearance. We wanted to create important volumes, geometric and rounded. We wanted to design a fully padded seat, up to the floor, in which a predominant part was the fabric and the color. We played on the voids and solids to get a comfortable but not heavy shape. We especially liked the idea of having a single element made up of the back legs, backrest and armrests, a single wrap-around band like a hug.
